Lenny Smith

Lenny Smith, the literal patriarch of the Danielson Famile, phones in "love songs, gospel, and crazy-childish" tunes. When the Pope visits America, Lenny always gets a call from the diocese, asking permission to blast his famous worship song, "Our God Reigns," from the Popemobile (true story!). Really beautiful stuff!

Songs:

Finally It's Christmas Eve / For There Is Born A Child For Us/ Arise My Love / My Teeth Are Shinin' Today / Love Comes Tumblin' Down / Ask Me Not To Leave You

Nicholas Megalis

Finally, the wait is over!

Nicholas Megalis phones it in from Cleveland, OH, home to Guided By Voices, Pere Ubu, Nine Inch Nails, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony (among other musical visionaries), none of whom Nicholas sounds like.

Who does Nicholas Megalis sound like then? Nicholas Megalis.

"Nicholas Megalis can do a mean Marc Bolan. He can also do a fine Jack White. However, Nicholas Megalis is at his best when he's being Nicholas Megalis, the reincarnation of rock and roll."

Bombastic piano playing. Scorching vocal delivery. Amazing shoes. Keep an eye on this kid (literally, he just graduated from high school)! Dude's going places fer sure.

Songs:

In the End / Caroline / Oh, Steady / Instances of Shame / The Phrase / Half Your Age
